Have english menu. Ask for it. Expact to be in line for 15-30min normally. This joint is famous for kakikatsu which is deep fried oyster.

Super-popular local cafeteria style restaurant that have been rated as number 1 in Tokyo. Cash only and usually full with tourists and local businessman. A must try is their sautéed oyster (oyster butteryaki) along with the curry rice. This dish available only during winter time using the big oysters from iwate prefecture. Curry is slightly sweet (Japanese style). Goes well with rice. Try to come early to avoid the lines.

This is a very popular place for Tonkatsu. Most likely you will have to queue for at least 10-15 minutes, however worth waiting for it. I went for lunch here and both the food and service was excellent. You should definitely give it a try when nearby.

The fried oyster dish was incredibly buttery and tasty!! I had to queue for an hour but it was totally worth to wait..
